Archivist

Discover what plugins servers are running, track version and software changes, and browse a community-built database of Minecraft server data.

How it works

Automatic collection

The mod reads data that the server sends to every client — the Brigadier command tree, plugin channel namespaces, registry data, server brand string, and chat messages. No extra packets are sent.

Plugin detection

Plugins are identified from namespaced commands, channel names, server brand parsing, and GUI inventory analysis. Each detection carries a confidence score so you know how reliable it is.

Community-driven

Every user adds to the database. Combine data from many players to build complete, up-to-date server profiles.

Getting started

1

Install the mod

Requires Fabric API on Minecraft 1.21.X. Drop the .jar in your mods folder.

2

Play normally

Join any server. The mod collects data in the background and logs it locally. Press Z to open the Archivist GUI.

3

Optionally sync your data

Configure API endpoints in the in-game GUI or config file to share data. This is optional -- the mod works fully offline.

4

Browse the database

Search servers, view detected plugins with confidence scores, and track changes over time.
